There has been some changes to the Sargent Swimming Pool. In the late 90’s STEP bought the pool a new heater and slide. STEP also helped remodel the bathhouses. 
There is now a roof over both bathrooms and the outside was given a fresh coat of paint. In 2008, the pool received a new surface with a fresh coat of paint, stairs declining into the pool from both sides and is ready for swimmers.
The Sargent Swimming Pool still teaches Red Cross Swimming Lessons. Children come from the area as well as other states for lessons.
There are water aerobics and adult swim several times a week. Once a month there is Midnight Madness where kids swim at night and boat races at the end of the season! Darlene Leitschuck is the pool manager and does a wonderful job of maintaining our wonderful asset for the Sargent community.

| Boat Race Guidlines: |
- At least one person in the boat
- Driver/Passenger must row the length of the pool and back
- Boats must supply their own oars
- Boats that meet all guidlines will be eligible for prizes.
